The Kaduna State Commissioner for Health, Hajiya Umma K. Ahmed, has reaffirmed the ministry’s commitment to supporting Governor Uba Sani in strengthening the state’s health sector.

She made this statement while welcoming participants to the 2025 Stakeholders’ Retreat of the Kaduna State Health Supplies Management Agency (KADHSMA) in Zaria Local Government Area.

Hajiya Umma emphasized that Governor Sani’s administration remains dedicated to ensuring uninterrupted access to essential medicines and health products, with a strong focus on transparency in procurement and distribution.

“This commitment ultimately aims to improve health outcomes for the people of Kaduna State,” she stated.

She highlighted a significant milestone—the recent upgrade of the state’s warehouse to a pharma-grade facility—which has enhanced supply chain management across the region.

The retreat focused on strengthening Kaduna State’s health supply chain system and provided an opportunity to integrate digital innovations that leverage technology for improved inventory management and effective tracking of health commodities.

While appreciating the leadership of KADHSMA and the contributions of development partners, the commissioner urged participants to utilize technology to optimize resource allocation, strengthen collaboration with stakeholders, and enhance accountability mechanisms.

The retreat served as a strategic platform to reflect on progress made, identify challenges, and develop innovative strategies for improving supply chain operations.

The Kaduna State Health Supplies Management Agency (KADHSMA) plays a pivotal role in realizing this vision.
