Kogi Unveils Land use Charge for investment, steps to enhance Revenue Generation — KGIRS

The chairman of Kogi state internal Revenue Service, (KGIRS) Alhaji Salihu Sule Enehe on Wednesday in Lokoja said the unveiling of the land use charge in the state was to create room for an investment and enhance revenue generation in the state.

Enehe who made this remarks at a press conference to unveil the Land use charge said it’s not just a levy but an investment in better infrastructure, improved public services, and a greater future for all Kogi residents.

He pointed out that the unveiling marks a pivotal step in strengthening the revenue base for sustainable development stressing that a well-structured revenue system is the foundation of good governance.

The chairman said the successful implementation of the law will yield numerous benefits for  our  stakeholders and for the state at large.

“With the successful launch of the Land use Charge Demand notice today, we are reaffirming our commitment to accountability, transparency, and efficiency in revenue administration in the state.”

“By embracing the Land use Charge, you are helping to empower the government to deliver more impactful projects that will benefit businesses, communities, and future generations.”

In his remarks the special Adviser to the governor on revenue generation, Hon. Rahman Nasir Ichanyi stressed the commitment of the present administration of governor Usman Ododo in supporting the KGIRS to achieve its Lofty objectives in revenue generation.
