FCT Tax Practitioners Elect Uziewe as New Chairman

The Federal Capital Territory Tax Practitioners Association (FCT TPA) has elected Mr. Ajakpomevi Uziewe as its 5th Chairman, ushering in a new era of leadership for the association.

Comprising members from key professional bodies—including the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN), the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), and the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN)—the FCT TPA plays a central role in tax administration within Abuja.

Mr. Uziewe, Managing Partner at Ajakpomevi Uziewe & Co., brings extensive expertise to the position. An alumnus of the University of Benin (UNIBEN) with a degree in Accounting, he holds fellowships from both ICAN and CITN and is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Forensics and Certified Fraud Investigation of Nigeria.

His professional journey spans notable organizations such as Abuja Clinics, Julius Berger Nigeria PLC, Oakcliff Global Synergy Limited, and Anija Okoye & Co., where he gained broad experience in assurance, taxation, and financial management.

The FCT TPA is known for its strong partnership with the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) and the FCT Internal Revenue Service (FCT-IRS), working to bridge the gap between taxpayers and tax administrators in the capital territory.

With Mr. Uziewe at the helm, the association expressed confidence in continued progress, emphasizing its commitment to enhancing Nigeria’s tax ecosystem under his leadership.
