UAE Immigration Offices to Close June 4–8 for Eid Al Adha: Travelers Urged to Plan Ahead

The United Arab Emirates has announced the closure of all immigration offices from Tuesday, June 4 to Saturday, June 8, 2025, in observance of Eid Al Adha.

During this period, essential immigration services such as visa applications, renewals, and residency permit processing will be suspended. Travelers, residents, and visa holders are advised to complete any urgent immigration-related matters before June 4 to avoid potential delays or complications.

Key Details:

  • Offices will reopen on Sunday, June 9, but applicants should expect longer wait times due to backlog.
  • Airports and land borders will remain open for travelers with valid visas or visa-on-arrival eligibility.
  • Individuals with special immigration cases or pending approvals may face delays at points of entry due to reduced staff.

Services Temporarily Unavailable (June 4–8):

  • Visa Processing
All new applications, extensions, and status adjustments will be paused. Submissions close to the holiday may face delays.
  • Residency Permit Services
No processing of new permits, renewals, or cancellations during the holiday period.
  • Entry/Exit Stamping & Special Cases
Regular travel can continue for those with valid documents, but additional checks may cause delays for exceptional cases.
  • Customer Support
Helplines and service centers will operate at limited capacity or remain closed.
  • Fine Payments & Violation Resolution
Services for settling overstay fines or correcting visa issues will be suspended until offices reopen.

Important Tips for Travelers and Residents:

🔹 Act Early:
Submit visa applications, renewals, and immigration updates before June 4.

🔹 Avoid Critical Travel Dates:
If your travel relies on pending visa approvals, avoid planning trips during the holiday period.

🔹 Check Your Documents:
Ensure your visa, permit, or entry clearance is valid. Keep printed and digital copies handy.

🔹 Stay Informed:
Monitor official UAE immigration websites and government channels for any updates or changes.

With immigration services paused for five days, early preparation is crucial. Handle any visa or residency issues now to avoid delays, penalties, or travel disruptions during the Eid break.
