The regular use of permanent hair dye can lead to asthma as the product contains persulfates which causes respiratory disorder. If inhaled continually, it could lead to symptoms like shortness of breath, wheezing, chest tightness, coughing and on the long run, asthmatic attacks.

5. It can can lead to conjunctivitis
Sometimes, when the hair dye is not professionally done, the chemicals can make contact with parts of the face which can lead to it swelling, and if the chemicals from the hair dye touch the eye, it could lead to severe discomfort and if care is not taken, it could lead to the user getting pink eye or conjunctivitis.

A way to avoid all these is to get a professional to do it for you, to opt for temporary or semi permanent hair dyes as although not 100% safe, don’t contain as much injuries chemicals which are present in the permanent dye, use products that are approved and from trusted brands and even trying out natural hair dyeing alternatives such as coffee, henna, beet and carrot juice
