“Criticising Men of God Brings Curses on You and Your Family” – Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Warns

Renowned televangelist and founder of LoveWorld Ministry, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, has issued a stern warning to those who publicly criticise pastors and spiritual leaders, saying such actions invite curses not only on the individual but also on their families.

The pastor made this declaration during a recent sermon, urging his congregation to refrain from speaking against ministers of God, regardless of any perceived wrongdoing.

“Don’t criticise God’s people, especially ministers of the Gospel,” Pastor Chris said. “The Bible says whatever they do, they do unto the Lord. Leave them alone. Don’t join others in tearing down fellow ministers. There are curses for those who do.”

He emphasized that spiritual matters should be left to divine judgment rather than public opinion or condemnation.

Mixed Reactions Online

Pastor Chris’s statement sparked a wave of reactions on social media, with opinions sharply divided.

@obissignature supported the message, writing:

“Thank you very much Sir. That has always been my stand. Do you think the all-knowing God is silent? Let Him be the judge. Read Matthew 7:3-5.”

Others, however, viewed the message as a way to shield religious leaders from accountability.

@smithdoings commented:

“All this is just to protect their job so it doesn’t crash.”

@teawhy01 added:

“That’s the card they always play — instilling fear in people.”

The debate continues as Pastor Chris’s remarks reignite long-standing discussions on religious authority, accountability, and the limits of criticism in faith communities.
