Kaduna Governor Makes Four New Appointments to Boost State Enterprises

In a move aimed at repositioning key state-owned enterprises to enhance operational efficiency and support Kaduna State’s economic revitalization agenda, Governor Senator (Dr.) Uba Sani (CON) has approved four new appointments.

The newly appointed officials are:

  • Ahmed Shehu Haruna – Acting Managing Director, Kaduna Markets Development and Management Company
  • Barr. Naymarie Musa-Akande – Managing Director/CEO, Kaduna Industrial and Finance Company Limited
  • Ibrahim Abdulkarim Adamu – Managing Director, Kaduna State Livestock Regulatory Authority
  • Ibrahim Yusuf – Managing Director, Kaduna Ranch Development Company Limited

Governor Uba Sani congratulated the appointees and charged them to be adaptive, innovative, and results-driven in their new roles to better serve the people of Kaduna State and contribute meaningfully to its economy.

The appointments were announced in a statement signed by Ibraheem Musa, the Governor’s spokesperson, on Monday.

Profiles of the Appointees

Ahmed Shehu Haruna, now Acting MD of the Kaduna Markets Development and Management Company, is currently the Special Adviser to the Governor on Economic Matters. A chartered accountant and forensic expert, Haruna has nearly a decade of experience in financial consulting, including work with KPMG Professional Services, Lagos. He was also an Associate Director at Haruna Yahaya & Co., a member firm of MGI Worldwide, and headed its Lagos office.

Barr. Naymarie Musa-Akande, appointed MD/CEO of the Kaduna Industrial and Finance Company Limited, is a seasoned legal practitioner, public servant, and politician. She served as the APC Woman Leader in Kaduna State and held various advisory roles in the state government between 2018 and 2021, including Special Assistant on Legal and Political Matters.

Ibrahim Abdulkarim Adamu, the new MD of the Kaduna State Livestock Regulatory Authority, is the former MD of the Kaduna Markets Development and Management Company. A native of Saminaka, born in 1966, Adamu holds a B.Sc. in Accounting and two master’s degrees—one in Business Administration and another in International Affairs and Diplomacy from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. He is a Fellow of the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN).

Ibrahim Yusuf, appointed MD of the Kaduna Ranch Development Company Limited, is a dairy and livestock expert with over 10 years’ experience in project management and agricultural value chains. He has led efforts to resolve farmer-herder crises in North-Central Nigeria through integrated livestock projects and previously served as a Dairy Technical Consultant with Sahel Consulting Agriculture and Nutrition Ltd. Yusuf has worked with several international organizations, including Christian Aid (UK) and Intersos Humanitarian Organization.

He brings expertise in Project Management, Process Optimization, Risk Management, Resource Mobilization, and Value Chain Analysis to his new role.
