4 Diseases walking helps to combat

According to findings, walking is one of the best forms of exercise and physical activity. Walking has been found out to cut down the rate of death from many diseases.
In a particular research finding, walking at least two hours a week has been found to nearly reduce by 40 per cent death from all causes.
Walking has been found to help burn down high-saturated fats in the body. It also helps to reduce belly fats, especially in people with artificial pregnancies.
Medical professionals and health research experts have often recommended walking as a form of exercise for patients who are prone to some life-threatening and non-communicable diseases.
If you do not want to be sent into an early grave, you should know that going for a walk at least two hours every week will help combat the under-highlighted diseases. It is just left for you to have a weekly walk schedule.

Diabetes
Diabetes is a disease that occurs when the blood has a high glucose (sugar) content. A person with high blood sugar is said to be hyperglycaemic, while someone with low blood sugar is said to be hypoglycaemic.
There are more than two types of Diabetes that affect human beings. The common ones are Type 1 Diabetes, Type 2 Diabetes, Prediabetes and Gestational Diabetes, according to Justhealth.
Both Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes are the most commonly known Diabetes. Type 1 Diabetes occurs when the pancreas produce a little amount of insulin or none at all, while Type 2 Diabetes disrupts the way the body system processes blood sugar.
How does walking combat Diabetes? The answer is simple. Since Diabetes makes you to become hyperglycaemic, walking between two and three hours every week will reduce the sugar in your blood system. This is because as you walk, the sugar in your blood is slowly burnt away and released as energy.

Hypertension
Hypertension occurs in an individual when the blood pressure (Systolic/Diastolic) rises above the normal (120/80) on the measurement scale. A person is said to be hypertensive when his blood pressure reads 140/90, while a blood pressure of 180/120 is a severe case of hypertension, Justhealth informs.
A person who is consistenly under serious pressure in his workplace or who has various family issues will definitely suffer hypertension at one point in his life. People with sedentary lifestyle also come up with the disease. Some sportsmen and sports fans have been reported to have died as a result of hypertension.
Going for a walk in a serene environment or in a big park and viewing the natural environment will help reduce your blood pressure.
It is sad to know that some people hardly walk for 15 minutes in a week. This is an invitation to hypertension.

Heart Disease
Hypertension is related to heart disease, however, there are some distinctive differences between the two diseases.
A person who suffers from heart disease do not need to have high blood pressure. There are so many kinds of heart diseases that medical research has unveiled.
Having a burning sensation in the chest is a type of heart disease. Heavy thudding of the heart and abnormal heartbeats are also heart diseases.
It is shocking but true that body-builders and people who lift heavy objects on a regular basis do suffer heart disease at times. This is because they put their hearts under too much pressure.
Walking is one of the best form of exercises to combat heart disease, as it does not add to pressure on the heart, but reduces it.
Heart diseases are also known as cardiovascular diseases.

Obesity
If you want to know if you are obese or not, just measure your Body Mass Index (BMI) to find out. The BMI is obtained by dividing your mass/weight in kilogram by the square of your height in metres. If your BMI is more than 25, then you are obese.
According to medical experts, obesity occurs when excessive body fats increase the risk of heart problems. There is a strong relationship between obesity and heart disease.
Uncontrollable appetite for junk foods is one of the major causes of obesity.
There have been reported cases of obese individuals, who lose weight after putting themselves on a walking routine exercise. An obese person should trek long distance everyday and see how his weight will significantly drop after a few months.
It should be noted that an obese person who begins a walking routine exercise will need to cut down heavily on fatty food substances as well as say good bye to junk foods.
Even if you do not yet suffer from the above highlighted diseases, you should try to cultivate the habit of walking everyday in order to have a healthy life.
