JUST IN: Tinubu Vows to Crush Terrorism, Strengthen Global Alliances

President Bola Tinubu has reaffirmed his administration’s determination to end terrorism and deepen Nigeria’s diplomatic engagement with global partners.

Speaking at the Federal Executive Council meeting on Thursday at the Presidential Villa, Abuja — the council’s first since July — Tinubu pledged to pursue peace, security, and economic growth under his Renewed Hope Agenda.

“We are engaging the world diplomatically, and we assure all Nigerians that we will defeat terrorism. Our task is to move forward with clarity of purpose to build a prosperous nation,” he said before the session went into a closed-door meeting.

Addressing recent global concerns, including the U.S. designation of Nigeria as a “Country of Particular Concern,” Tinubu said his administration is working to correct misperceptions and strengthen international cooperation.

Citing the oversubscribed $2.3bn Eurobond as proof of investor confidence, he urged his cabinet to remain united and focused on delivering reforms that promote national stability and prosperity.
