Innovation Support Network Elects New Board at 6th Annual General Gathering in Kano

The Innovation Support Network (ISN), Nigeria’s leading association of innovation hubs and entrepreneurship support organisations, has announced a newly elected Board of Directors following its 6th Annual General Gathering held in Kano. The event brought together members from across the country to discuss strategic priorities for strengthening Nigeria’s innovation ecosystem.ISN, which now comprises more than 230 hubs, incubators, accelerators, workspaces, makerspaces, and hackerspaces, continues to play a central role in developing talent, supporting founders, and accelerating digital transformation nationwide.

The newly elected Board members, selected for their leadership and long-standing contributions to the sector, include: Chairman: Mr. Hanson Johnson

Marketing Director: Mr. Ahmed Idris

Corporate Director: Mrs. Cynthia Orife

Partnerships Director: Mr. Emmanuel Gabriel

Finance Director: Mr. Faiz Muhamma

Partnerships Director: Dr. Samuel Jackson

During the gathering, ISN members emphasized the importance of collaboration in advancing innovation policy, strengthening capacity-building programmes, and supporting organisations that drive Nigeria’s digital economy. They noted that the Network’s expanding membership continues to play a crucial role in shaping a more competitive and inclusive technological landscape.

The new Board is expected to consolidate ISN’s achievements by enhancing governance structures, building stronger public and private partnerships, and expanding value-driven services for members. Stakeholders also expressed optimism that the leadership team will position ISN more prominently as a national catalyst for innovation and entrepreneurship.ISN reaffirmed its commitment to empowering member organisations across Nigeria, amplifying homegrown technological solutions, and promoting a future where innovation fuels broad-based economic growth.
