Kaduna Murder: Victim’s Father demands N560m compensation from state govt.

The family of Ahmed Musa, a student who was brutal murdered at Government Technical College Malali, Kaduna state on February 16, 2025, has expressed displeasure and disappointment over the release of the prime suspect in the case.

The family also condemns the Kaduna State Government’s actions, and described the release of the prime suspect as a betrayal.

According to statement personally signed by the biological father of the victim, Musa Mohammed (Publisher Moonlight) he threatened that he will seek redress at the Federal High Court of Justice, to demand for justice and adequate compensation for the unfair treatment they’ve endured.

“We demand an expedited, transparent, and decisive legal process,” the family stated. “We will resist any attempts for political interference or compromise”, it added.

The family is asking for Five Hundred and Sixty Million, Three Hundred Thousand Naira (N560,300,000) as compensation from the Kaduna State Government for releasing the prime suspects.

Furthermore, the family has also issued a threat to raise awareness and organize a mass protest across Kaduna State, to highlighting the victim, Ahmed Musa’s unfair treatment, and the neglect they’ve suffered, with the sole aimed to see justice done.

The family therefore appealed to the public for support in their quest for justice for Ahmed Musa.

Daybreak Nigeria recall that, earlier, four suspects who are security personnel of Kaduna state vigilance service (KADVIS), were charged with alleged murder of Ahmed Musa an SS2 student, in connection with his brutal killing, by Chief Magistrate, Justice Naheed Ibrahim Abdulhamid when they appeared before Kaduna Chief Magistrate Court Kabala Doki in Kaduna.

The Chief Magistrate, Justice Naheed Ibrahim Abdulhamid ordered that the 4 defendants, be remanded in a correctional facility, while he adjourned the case to 27th of May 2025.

The prime suspects later set free are: Timothy Abba 56 years old, Joseph Ogoni 41 years old, Bulus Adamu 42 years old and Francis Adamu 48 years old all personnel of Kaduna state vigilance service (KADVIS), posted to the said school.
