Prince Miaphen Commends Former Defence Minister Mohammed Badaru for “Impactful and Patriotic” Service

Comrade Prince Miaphen, Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Advocates, has praised the former Minister of Defence, Alhaji Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, for what he described as a successful, impactful, and patriotic tenure. Miaphen gave the commendation in a statement issued on Tuesday in Jos.The former NANS Acting President described Badaru as an exemplary public servant whose dedication and leadership left a lasting mark on national security and youth development. The statement, titled “Celebrating a Patriot, Icon of Service – Alhaji Mohammed Badaru,” highlighted the former minister’s contributions to governance and his positive influence on communities across the country.“

I heartily congratulate Alhaji Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, our former Honourable Minister of Defence, on a successful and impactful tenure in office,” Miaphen said.He noted that although Badaru’s resignation on health grounds was unexpected, it demonstrated the honesty and patriotism that defined his time in service. According to him, Badaru’s leadership style, firmness, and unwavering commitment to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration earned him respect within and outside government.“Your leadership, firmness, and unwavering commitment will be greatly missed—not only in government circles but also across the vast community of students and youths whose lives your policies have positively touched,” he said.

Miaphen further described Badaru as a “formidable pillar of stability, a voice of reason, and a true champion of national security,” adding that his contributions helped reinforce national cohesion and service delivery.As the former minister steps aside to attend to his health, Miaphen expressed solidarity and offered prayers for his recovery. “I join millions of Nigerians in praying for your swift and complete healing. May God grant you renewed strength and the grace to return even stronger,” he said.

He concluded by thanking Badaru for his “selfless service, patriotism, and enduring legacy,” expressing confidence that Nigeria remains proud of his contributions and hopeful about his future engagements.-
