Music icon 2Baba Idibia has spoken publicly for the first time amid the growing controversy surrounding his marriage to Edo lawmaker, Hon. Natasha Osawaru.
In an emotional video, the singer lamented that those he expected to protect him — members of his own family — have instead “destroyed” him and put Natasha in harm’s way.
According to him, the same pattern of interference that once destabilised his marriage to actress Annie Macaulay has resurfaced, but with even more damaging consequences.
“My family, who claim they wanted to save me, have actually destroyed me and damaged Natasha’s character. My family did this same thing to Annie. Natasha is receiving death threats. They have ruined her whole life,” he said.
His remarks have sparked intense online debate, with many divided over who is to blame. While some believe his family may have acted out of concern, others argue that repeated interference has only escalated the crisis.
2Baba also disclosed that Natasha has been facing severe harassment, online attacks, and even death threats following leaked conversations and viral videos tied to their marriage. He suggested much of the hostility towards her was fuelled by people close to him.
The unfolding drama has quickly become one of the biggest celebrity controversies of the moment, with many now awaiting Natasha Osawaru’s response.
