Brazil head coach Carlo Ancelotti has predicted that Arsenal will fall short in this season’s UEFA Champions League, despite their impressive start to the campaign.
The Gunners have won all five of their matches so far in the league phase and sit top of the table with 15 points. Mikel Arteta’s side have also recorded statement victories over Atlético Madrid and Bayern Munich, conceding just one goal in the process. Their form has seen many pundits tip them as strong contenders for the trophy.
However, Ancelotti — a five-time Champions League winner as a manager with AC Milan and Real Madrid — believes one of his former clubs will deny Arsenal their European dream.
Speaking to TNT Sports, the Italian was asked who he expects to win the competition this season. His response was emphatic: “My Real Madrid.”
