FIFA Unveils Best Men’s XI for 2025, Crowns Luis Enrique Best Coach

FIFA has officially announced its Best Men’s XI for 2025, showcasing a blend of emerging stars and established icons who dominated club and international football over the past year.

The team was revealed at The Best FIFA Football Awards 2025, with selections based on consistency, influence, and standout performances across Europe’s top leagues and major global competitions.

In attack, Ousmane Dembélé earns recognition after rediscovering his best form, delivering goals, confidence, and decisive match-winning displays throughout the season. He is joined by teenage sensation Lamine Yamal, whose rapid rise from promising talent to one of football’s most dangerous attackers marks one of the standout stories of the year.

The midfield combines creativity, control, and drive. Pedri provides composure and balance, while Vitinha’s elegant passing and tactical awareness complement Jude Bellingham’s intensity and all-round influence. Cole Palmer completes the midfield after a sensational breakthrough season that established him as one of the most effective attacking midfielders in the game.

At the back, athleticism and authority define the defence. Full-backs Nuno Mendes and Achraf Hakimi offer pace and attacking threat, while Virgil van Dijk continues to anchor the defence with his commanding presence. He is partnered by Pacho, whose strength and composure earned widespread praise.

Between the posts, Gianluigi Donnarumma completes the XI following another impressive year marked by crucial saves in high-pressure situations, reaffirming his status among the world’s top goalkeepers.

Meanwhile, Luis Enrique was named The Best FIFA Men’s Coach 2025 after a historic season with Paris Saint-Germain. The Spanish tactician led PSG to their first-ever UEFA Champions League title, capped by a dominant 5–0 win over Inter Milan in the final.

Domestically, PSG were equally dominant, clinching Ligue 1, the Coupe de France, and the Trophée des Champions. On the global stage, they finished runners-up at the inaugural FIFA Club World Cup™, reaching the final after impressive victories over Bayern Munich and Real Madrid.

Luis Enrique’s remarkable campaign included winning the 2024/25 UEFA Champions League, Ligue 1, Coupe de France, and the 2024 Trophée des Champions, finishing second at the FIFA Club World Cup 2025, and being named the 2024/25 UNFP Ligue 1 Manager of the Year.
