The clamour for Senator Emmanuel Bwacha’s governorship bid in 2027 has intensified, as youths of the All Progressives Congress (APC) under the banner of Hope for Taraba 2027 took to the streets of Jalingo in a massive show of solidarity.
The youths declared Bwacha the “redeemer of Taraba,” insisting that his leadership is the only antidote to what they described as the catastrophic failures of Governor Agbu Kefas’ administration.
Hon. Abdulrazak Mahmud Limam, leader of the movement, alongside APC youth secretary Wilson Oguche, told journalists that Kefas’ government has become “a curse Tarabans will live to regret.” They argued that the governor’s tenure has plunged the state into poverty and stagnation, while Bwacha’s proven track record across the southern senatorial district offers hope of revival.
“Senator Bwacha has demonstrated vision, courage, and tangible results. He is the leader who can rebuild Taraba and place us on the global stage of prosperity. Governor Kefas’ defection to APC cannot erase his incompetence. We want development, not deception,” Limam declared.
The youths appealed to President Bola Tinubu to throw his weight behind Bwacha’s candidacy, describing him as the only figure capable of liberating Taraba from impending collapse.
Rejecting any prospect of a second term for Kefas, the group vowed to mobilize Tarabans in support of Bwacha’s “rescue mission.” They insisted that the 2027 election must be about redemption, not rewarding failure.
“Bwacha is our rallying point, our hope, and the future of Taraba. With him, we see a new dawn where generations will celebrate the foundation we lay today,” the group concluded.
