The (CDHR) has announced that the (CAC) has approved the appointment of a new Board of Trustees (BoT) and Chairman for the organisation.
The approval, according to the group, marks a significant milestone in strengthening its institutional framework and governance structure.
Following due process and compliance with regulatory requirements, the CAC also issued a new certificate reflecting the updated leadership of the organisation.
The newly approved Board of Trustees includes as Chairman, alongside , , , and as Secretary.
The CDHR expressed confidence in the capacity and integrity of the new board to advance its mission of promoting, protecting, and defending human rights in Nigeria.
It noted that the development underscores the organisation’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and adherence to statutory regulations in its advocacy for justice, rule of law, and democratic governance.
The group also called on stakeholders, partners, and the general public to support the new leadership in achieving its objectives for a more just and equitable society.
