God’ll Expose Those Behind Brutal, Senseless Killings in Plateau — APC Stalwart Sadeeq Plaza

By Israel Adamu, Jos

A politician and philanthropist, Abubakar Sadeeq Plaza, at the weekend said God would expose those behind the “brutal and senseless killings” in Plateau State, as he condoled with families of victims of the Palm Sunday attack in Anguwan Rukuba, Jos North Local Government Area, and those of four traders killed in a separate incident. The Anguwan Rukuba attack left several persons dead and many others injured.

Sadeeq Plaza also visited families of four traders in Gangare who were killed while travelling from Jos to Pankshin Local Government Area for business some months ago. Condemning the incidents, he described the killings as “brutal and senseless,” urging residents to remain vigilant, provide useful information to security agencies, and intensify prayers for lasting peace in the state. He expressed condolences to the bereaved families and called for collective efforts to tackle insecurity.

Sadeeq Plaza further decried the recurring attacks in parts of Plateau State, warning that the continued loss of innocent lives posed a serious threat to peace and development in the region. He stressed that such acts of violence must not be allowed to fester, calling on security agencies to redouble efforts in tracking down perpetrators and preventing further attacks. He also urged community leaders, youths and stakeholders to resist attempts to incite division along ethnic or religious lines, noting that unity remains the strongest weapon against insecurity.

According to him, sustained collaboration between citizens and authorities is critical to restoring confidence and stability across affected communities. He also commended the Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, for his swift response to the attack, including the deployment of security personnel and support to affected communities. “At a time when our communities need reassurance, the governor has shown that proactive leadership and inclusive governance are vital tools for lasting peace,” he said.

Sadeeq Plaza urged stakeholders to support ongoing peacebuilding efforts across the state. He also called on citizens of the state to continue to live peacefully with one another. Our correspondent reports that traditional rulers, community leaders and youth leaders commended him for his solidarity and humanitarian interventions.
