Oyo Assembly confirms Aderemi as President of Customary Court of Appeal

The Oyo State House of Assembly on Thursday confirmed the appointment of Justice Adekemi Aderemi as the President of the Customary Court of Appeal.

Speaking at plenary, the Speaker, Mr Adebo Ogundoyin,urged Aderemi to fully utilise her position in making the judiciary better.

Ogundoyin also urged Aderemi to look into the backlog of cases pending in the court.

Aderemi, after her confirmation, pledged to use her position to reposition the judiciary

According to her, a lot of work remains to be done in the state’s judiciary.

“In terms of our job, we will definitely work very hard because where I am coming from,  we  work hard.

” Presently  we have a whole load of cases to work on.

“We will even assist the High Court to continue to reduce the work load that is presently on ground,” she said.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Aderemi was born on Jan. 4, 1956.
