The honorable Minister for Power, Engineer Sale mamman has assured Tarabans and Nigerians at Large for a steady and uninterrupted power supply soon.
Mamman Saleh stated this during a courtesy visit to his Excellency, Arc. Darius Dickson Ishaku the Governor of Taraba that the project is on final take off stage and also discuss other issues affecting the State’s power sector.
The minister said the power sector is planning a special project to enhance the power supply in Taraba State by upgrading the state’s rural electrification by linking it to national grid.
He further stated that that the current Jalingo 132 kv will be upgraded to 330 kv.
“I was at the Taraba State Government house today where I discussed with his excellency my governor on how to speed up the final take off of the mambilla hydroelectric power project and other power issues affecting the state”
“I used the opportunity to inform him that we are planning special projects that will enhance the electricity supply in Taraba state. I have since directed that a number of rural electrification projects be executed in different parts of the State and as well as the supply of transformers to improve efficiency in Jalingo and other towns”
”As part of effort to boost electricity to Taraba State, we are to upgrade the jalingo transmission sub_station from the current 132 kv to 330kv”.
The Minister thanked his Excellency Governor Darius for all the support and warm reception during the visit.
