Taraba INEC warns Politician against votes buying and selling.

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Taraba state has organized a stakeholders meeting with the Theme ” The Role Of Stakeholders In Promoting a Peaceful 2019 General Elections”.

The Resident Electoral Commissioner INEC, Taraba state, Alhaji Baba Abba Yusuf at the meeting  draw the attention of politicians to the trend of vote buying and selling saying INEC and other security agencies are fully mobilized to stop the negative trend in the state and Nigeria as a whole.

Yusuf said INEC is fully committed to conducting a free, fair, credible and peaceful election, noting that the commission will create a level playing ground for all Political Parties and Candidates.

The INEC boss appealed to stakeholders in Taraba to INEC the needed support and assistance by informing the Commission of any violence or plans of infractions that are likely to affect the conduct of the general elections so that security Agencies can take prompt action.

Also speaking at the stakeholders meeting the Taraba state Police Commissioner Mr. David Akinremi who spoke on behalf of Security agencies in the state, said security men would not take it lightly with anybody found violating the laid down rules and conduct for the election in the state.

The Police boss advanced voters to ensure they collect their voter’s card to unable them vote leaders of their choice.
