Ambazonia: Taraba monarch seeks federal govt attention on security to checkmate migration.

Taraba monarch has called on both Federal and Taraba governments to deploy more security to boarder area between Kurmi and Republic of Cameron to checkmate activities of illegal migration into the country.

Kum Enoch Tabena, Chief of Ndola chiefdoms in Kurmi local government area of Taraba made the call on Thursday while speaking to our correspondent in Jalingo.

Kum Tabena, who is a Third Class Chief said that movement of Ambazonia Nationals into the boarder areas under his chiefdom in Kurmi posed a serious security threat to the people of the chiefdom.

He said that the locals were not equipped to challenge such influx of illegal immigrants in the area.

The monarch therefore, called on relevant authorities to deploy more security survelance to the area to contend and check their activities.

Kum Tabena, commended Gov. Darius Ishaku of Taraba for creating more chiefdoms in the state, saying that the action had brought governance closer to the people.

He however, appealed to the governor to allow the third class chiefs to appoint District Heads within their domain.

According to him, we are in the better position to determine who can be effective in community governance.

He said that the spate of insecurity in his domain was minimal, adding that the traditional structure in his chiefdoms has made communication between the rulers and inhabitants very easy.

He assured Gov Ishaku of an improve community governance so as to achieve a peaceful and crime free environment.

Our correspondent recalls that Gov. Ishaku had lamented the encroachment by the people of Ambazonia on Kashimbila community in Takum local government area of the state.

The governor said he had already reported the matter to the appropriate authorities.
