Adamawa: Former Gongola Deputy Governor Finally Laid to Rest

The remains of late Ambassador Wilberforce Juta the former Governor of Adamawa from Defunct Gongola State was laid to rest at his hometown Pakka in Maiha local Government area of Adamawa in compliance of the NCDC guide lines on COVID 19 protocol.

The funeral service which was officiated by the Lutheran world Federation President and Archbishop of the LCCN Most Reverend Musa Panti Filibus held at the Lutheran church of Christ in Nigeria lccn No 1 Nassarawo Cathedral jimeta yola of Adamawa state.

Adamawa state Deputy Governor Chief Crowther Seth who represented Governor Ahmadu Fintiri and who was also Chairman Planning committee for the burial said ,late Ambassador Wilberforce Juta contributed immensely to the political growth and development of Adamawa state and has left indelible mark on the sands of history.

The Deputy described late Juta as a political mentor, friend and a Father whose death is a great lose not only to the family but entire Adamawa and Nigeria as a whole.

While sympathizing with the family, Crowther noted that late Juta h worked tirelessly in touching lives,and lived a life worth of emulation.

In their separate remarks ,the representative of the Secretary to the federal Government of the federation Hon Yusuf Captain Buba (member representing Hong/Gombi federal constituency) and Taraba state Deputy Governor Haruna Manu,described late Wilberforce as a great achiever who has remained relevant throughout his life while impacting positively.
on the younger generation.

While further commiserating with the family and people of Adamawa they all urged them to take solace in God nothing that death is inevitable .

Delivering the funeral sermon Archbishop Musa Panti Filibus,told the Congregation that death is not the end of a believer but a beginning of his/her good life through Jesus Christ.Drew this holy scriptural reading from the book of 1 corianthians 5:1-5.

The Clergyman used the opportunity to call political leaders to harness ways to which they can positively engage the youths.

Late Wilberforce Juta ,was born on the 3rd day of May 1944 ,and was a committed Christian in the true sense of the word , He was baptised on 18/8/1957 died on 15th August 2020 at the age of 76.
He is survived by his wife, Children , grandchildren and several relatives.

The Funeral was attended by top Government officials and several dignitaries.
