Kano state branch of the national cassava growers association (NCGA) would expand their production across the 44 local government area in order to ensure the complicity of the federal government’s policy on agriculture and food security under the present administration.
This was disclosed by the state’s secretary of the national cassava growers association, Malam Umar Salusu Chiromawa in an interview with our correspondent in kano, where he assured that” we are now planning for mass cassava production in order to meet the national food production programme and to collaborate with kano state government in making our dream a reality”. He lamented.
He disclosed that they are now set to meet with the state’s ministry of agriculture and natural resources sue to showcases their achievement and in the other hand to present their master plans for the successfully implementation of their cassava production strategies to kano state government for take-up.
Malam Salisu Umar announced that the association is working selflessly in providing all the necessary inputs and financial support to it’s registered members in order to boost cassava production in kano state, where he called on the Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje to acknowledge their efforts in promoting cassava production in the northern region.
