B0SG Distributes Food And N24m cash To 1200 Vulnerable Citizens In Gwoza, Borno State

Governor Babagana Umara Zulum, Monday, was in Ngoshe, Warabe and Pulls settlements on humanitarian activities, all in Gwoza Local Government Area of Southern Borno.

At Ngoshe, the GOVERNOR supervised distribution of food items and N24m in cash to 1,200 vulnerable citizens who returned from Pulka and Maiduguri with each household receiving a 50kg bag of maize, 1 bag of 50kg sorghum, a 25kg bag of beans, a 12.5kg bag of rice, 5 liters of cooking oil, other condiments and a token of N20,000 cash.

According to him the distribution, was to  support resettled communities before the rainy season during which they are expected to undertake agricultural activities in their farmlands to pick up pieces  of their livelihoods as they returned to Ngoshe on, October 15, 2020, after clearance from the military. 

After assessing some  basic amenities,the governor immediately,ordered the State Universal Basic Education Board to provide furniture and ensure Ngoshe Central Primary School is re-opened in two weeks as the  school project is currently at 95 percent completion level. 

Also visited, was an ongoing Ngoshe Primary Healthcare Centre, where he charged the contractor to accelerate the completion to enable health workers provide services to the community and proceeded to Warabe, where he inspected 350 houses being built for residents whose homes were destroyed by insurgents and inspected the on-going construction of mega secondary school in Pulka.
