Ex-Naval Chief formally retires from the Nigerian Navy

Former chief of Naval staff, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas, has formally retired from the Nigerian navy.

His retirement was at the instance of the president, who alongside other past service chiefs, are to proceed as non-career ambassadors.

The traditional pulling-out ceremony is a traditional military ceremony to mark officers’ retirement from service.
