We now generate over N120m from Abuja/Kaduna rail-Ameachi

The Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Ameachi has revealed that the Abuja Kaduna railway line now generates over N120 milion monthly on its services after the implementation of e-ticketing as against the less than N70 million it generated monthly in the past.

Ameachi spoke Wednesday morning on AIT morning programme Kakaaki.

He noted that the e-ticketing platform has been a huge success and has eliminated corruption in the system. “ticketing racketeering has been removed and the system is now safe for persengers. Before a persengers can enter the train now there must be a marching ID to his ticked so it’s not even possible for you to use another person’s ticket now. This is also for the safety of the persengers” he said.
