Players and officials of participating teams from the 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory will storm Kano on Friday to battle for honour in this year’s Ramat Cup competition.
According to Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria’s (YSFON)National Organising Secretary AbdulrazaqUsman the competition holding in honour of the country’s late Head of State, General Murtala Ramat Mohammed will see the players slugging it out for who will pick the top prize in the Under 16 tournament.
Usman said the President of the federation who is also the Deputy Governor of Kano State, DrNasiru Yusuf Gawuna has put in place all the necessary logistic for a successful tournament.
He said the body will continue to ensure the efforts of the late leader are remembered in the country through its programme for youths in the country.
He said YSFON will ensure the competition will be strictly held according to its principle of fairness and equity.
He commended the State Government for its efforts in supporting the programmes of the body.The competition will be climaxed on March 26 with the final match and a relay race among the participating teams
