Tiv Youths Organization (TYO), a socio-cultural group in Benue State has implored President Muhammadu Buhari to as a matter of urgency tackle the current security challenges rocking the nation for faster growth of the economy.
President General of the organization, Mr Timothy Hembaor who made the call while reacting to the statement by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr Garba Shehu, where he described Governor Samuel Ortom as someone who only sees the problem of others, noted that the aforementioned comment showed the President has turned a deaf ears to the killings in the state.
Hembaor enjoined the President to be alive to his responsibility of protecting lives and property of the Nigerian citizens as well as tackle hunger occasioned by the failed economy.
According to the President, Governor Ortom has stated in clear terms that ranching remained the best global practice in animal husbandry, stressing that the present administration in the state has always ensured that there is peace and progress of the country.
Hembaor enjoined the President’s Spokesperson to come out and defend the issues the Governor raised regarding security challenge in Nigeria.
