Nasarawa: Government to turn waste materials to wealth

The Nasarawa State Commissioner for Environment and Nat ural Resources Mr. Ibrahim Musa has said the State would soon turned their waste materials to wealth as plan are under way to recycling all their waste materials for sale.

The Commissioner disclosed this on Saturday, shortly after a routine monthly sanitation exercise in Lafia, the state capital.

He said Federal Government under ecological office has provide a recycling plan and the work has reached advance stage in completion; adding that what the ministry is doing now is to install the machines that would ease the work in the state.

According to him, ” Very soon the waste is going to be a Scarce commodities in Nasarawa State because there is plan to recycling all waste materials and turn it to wealth.

” So we have already had off-takers on ground that are ready to buy pallet after the recycling, we advised people of Nasarawa State to to continue to comply with our directive because dumping of waste materials at water channel is not good for us,” he said.

He also informed that for today’s sanitation excerciss they arrested about 18 violators and they have been charged to court for sanction.

The commissioner further applauded the people of Nasarawa State for comply with the ministry’s directive towards ensuring clean environment for good health in the State.
