Once all arrangements are in place, we will commence operations.“Once we have that, we are going to use the radio to promote our culture and to showcase the best in our arts, and promote the artists themselves.“Today, the foremost individuals that started the foundation in creativity, literature, theatre and films are unknown to the young ones; the young ones will definitely learn from the radio.“We will also be using that platform to promote the works of artists,” he said.Ododo stated that the National Theatre was currently researching and interrogating into the best way theatre and films could be made more relevant in the Nigerian society. The News Agency of Nigeria reports that during the roundtable, the stakeholders in the arts, culture, tourism and entertainment industries were exposed to diverse partnership opportunities and programmes designed by the Agency. Some of the programmes were exhibition of Nigerian Royal Regalia, National Festival of Horns and Flutes, Digital Music and Studio Projects, Durbar Sights, Sounds and more. The general manager described the roundtable as a prelude to the new National Theatre to come, “as collaborations forged now will be the arteries to supply the much needed impetus that will fuel its operations.”He said the outlined programmes, events, creative and artistic contents could be garnished and shaped by potential partners.“The stakeholders can partner with the National Theatre to help shape the trajectory in a profitable and reciprocally beneficial way, while contributing to the development of Nigeria’s economic diversification.”
