A governorship Aspirant on the platform of the People’s Democratic party, PDP, in Benue State, Dr Paul Ubwa says his administration will introduce agricultural Mechanization for faster development of the state if elected Governor.
Dr Ubwa who stated this in Makurdi while briefing Stakeholders from Jechira axis comprising Vandeikya and Konshisha Local Government Areas over his governorship ambition noted that an administration led by him will bring measures towards uplifting the agricultural sector via intensive and large-scale Mechanization.
The Aspirant maintained that Government under his watch will embark on massive procument of modern farm mechines such as tractors and harvesters to boost agricultural production and output.
He assured that the administration will ensure all seasons agricultural production system like most advanced countries of the world for the benefit of the Benue citizens.
” I have seen Benue State with multiple challenges. We have natural resources, if they are well managed our state will move forward. I will manage the state resources prudently if given the mandate to serve”.
Ubwa assured that Benue State will not just be the food basket of the nation but food basket of Africa. “Benue State will no longer be the food basket of the nation but Africa in general”.
The Aspirant who identified security of lives and property as one of the cardinal priorities of any responsible Government, pledged that his administration would accord security of lives of the Benue citizens topmost priority.
He promised to create employment opportunities for our teeming youths, stating that if the youths are employed it will improve security. He said Government will pay attention to sports activities in the state for economic opportunities and benefit of the youth.
The Benue born Industrialist lauded the people of Jechira for responding to his invitation and appealed to them to support him to enable him realize his guber ambition.
Speakers at the event poured encomium on the Aspirant over his enormous contributions to the growth of Benue State particularly in the transportation sector where he employed many Benue sons and daughters.
Leader of the group, Chief David Amo commended Dr Ubwa for the bold step he has taken. He admonished him to go on with his consultation, averring that Benue State needs someone with a track record of achievements who would bring it to bear on the development of the state.
