Northern religious leaders decry hardship, begs Davido to support region’s Orpans, Widows, IDPs

The General Overseer of Christ Evangelical and Life lntervention Ministry Sabon Tasha Kaduna State pastor Yohanna Buru and other top Northern Muslims and Christians clerics have called on the multi millionaire Nigerian Popular musician Mr David Adeleke otherwise known as DAVIDO to support Orpans Widows, and IDPs in the region.

The religious leaders are appealing to Davido to equally extend his humanitarian assistance to some Northern Nigerian orphanage homes in the north in view of the increasing in their number and widows that are in a critical need of such support.

They also called on the entire Northern traditional and modern musicians, top celebrities, Actors, films industries and wealthy individuals with corporate organization, to emulate such gesture with the aimes of reducing hardship been faced by millions of orphans and widows in the region.

The clergymen stressed the need for all the Non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and all concerned Civil society of Nigerian (CSOs), NEMA, SEMA, UNICEF, WHO and other child protection organization across the country, to strengthen such gestured toward reducing hardship been faces by some of the orphans in the country most especially North-east and north -west.

A leader of the clerics Pastor Yohanna Buru made the calls during an interactive section with other Christians and Muslims clerics to promoting peaceful co-existence among different faith-base organization and unity in the kaduna to mark the end of world lnternational Tolerance week by United nation.

According to him, the calls become imparative in view of the Millions of childrens that were forced to turned into orphans due to Boko haram attacks ,cattle rustling ,banditry ,kidnapping ,terrorism and ethno-religious ,political attacks that has been disturbing peace and stability in many communities across the 19 northern States.

While reaffirming the primary responsibility of states for the emergencies of victims of humanitarian crises within their own borders, in striving to ensure flexible and timely funding on the basis of the
collective obligation to meet humanitarian needs., the cleric drew the attention of all local government chairmen across the 774 in the country , on the need for their support toward changing lives of orphans for better future.

“Large number of children’s were turned into orphans due to continuous banditry attacks in the North and hence the need to appealed to MR DAVIDO and other top weathy musicians to Please remembered some orphanage homes and some kids at various IDPs Camps across the northern part of the country.”, he said.

He note that, the primary objective of humanitarian aid is to save lives, alleviate suffering, and maintain human dignity. “It may therefore be distinguished from development aid, which seeks to address the underlying socioeconomic factors which may have led to a crisis or emergency

The Christian cleric urged Mr Davido to also remembered the orphanage home in the north when disbursing the 250 million naira which he earmarked for humanitarian services for orphanages homes in the south

Buru said, “there are plenty blessing waiting for Mr Davido Both on earth and in Paradise. Almighty God has a way of blessing any one that help orphans or widows.

He then called on National president of performance Musical Association of Nigeria (PIMAN) to be organizing a big concert geared toward raising some fund for helping the Internally displaces person IDPs and orphanages homes across the country.

“Humanitarian aid is important because it provides life-saving assistance to people affected by conflicts, disasters and poverty, vital in reducing the impact of crises on communities, helping recovery and improving preparedness for future emergencies”, he said.

Buru called on other top celebrities, Actors, and wealthy individual to emulate Mr DAVIDO for thinking of helping the poor orphans that are in a critical situation across the country

Recalled that a research revealed that “Over 68 million people around the world have been forced from their homes due to war, violence and persecution while more than 11 million people in Yemen, 8 million in Nigeria, and 2 million people in the Democratic Republic of Congo need aid but are not even included in the numbers targeted for international aid

Responding ,Mallam Gambo Abdullahi Barnawa, a Muslim cleric stressed the need for all Nigerian to be patriotic and always think of helping the needy

He said, God has many ways to bless and refund the money spent on good gesture which someone give to any one that is in a critical situation.

While calling on state and federal Government to equally double-up in bringing programmes that could help to improved live of childrens at various orphanage home,he then called on minister of humanitarian services to always remember the widows and orphans that are living in rented houses in some residence.

He also thanked all the joint security forces across the country for services which is toward protecting the integrity of the nation

“Humanitarian action includes the protection of civilians and those
no longer taking part in hostilities, and the provision of food, water and sanitation, shelter, health services and other items of assistance,

(we are one family under God ,and hence the need to draw support from every one which is toward saving lives of orphans and widows)
