Taraba Gov, relaxes curfew.

Taraba state Governor, Darius Iahaku has relaxes the curfew imposed on parts of the state after a review of security situation in parts of Jalingo, the Taraba state capital and Ardo kola local government area which experienced crisis recently by Fulani herdsmen who came in their numbers on motor cycles,

Governor Ishaku approved the relaxation of the current curfew imposed on the state capital and  affected areas within the state.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Senior Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Publicity Mr. Bala Dan Abu and made available to newsmen in Jalingo.

The statement says, the curfew now starts from 9pm and end 6am daily as against the 6pm to 6am to the further notice.

This means a three hour reduction in the time previously covered by the curfew.

According to the SSA, Governor Ishaku also ordered a ban on the movement of Keke NAPEP in all the areas covered by the curfew between 8pm and 6am daily till further notice.

The Governor however, directed security agencies in the state to ensure strict enforcement of these new directives on the security in the state.
