A Blueprint to Revive Karu: Chairmanship Aspirant Unveils Transformation Plan

From Abel Leonard, Lafia

Barr. Isaac Danladi, former Permanent Secretary of the Nasarawa State Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, has outlined an ambitious blueprint for the transformation of Karu Local Government Area as he formally begins his bid for the Chairmanship position.

Danladi picked up his nomination on Tuesday at the APC party Secretariat on Shandam Road, Lafia. He expressed that his vision focuses on revitalizing the local economy, improving social services, and addressing critical infrastructural needs.

In an interview with reporters after submitting his nomination form, Danladi elaborated on his key plans, which include a comprehensive overhaul of the healthcare system in the area. He intends to improve health services by establishing new facilities and enhancing the capacity of existing ones to cater to the growing population in Karu.

Regarding security, which he identified as a top priority, Danladi stated that he would collaborate with relevant stakeholders to bolster safety, ensuring a secure environment for residents and businesses. “My strategy includes increasing community policing efforts and working closely with local authorities to maintain law and order,” he added.

In terms of infrastructural development projects, Danladi pledged to improve roads, enhance electricity access, and boost water supply across Karu, which he described as being in a “state of comatose.” He believes these initiatives will drive economic growth and create job opportunities.

On the subject of job creation, the retired Permanent Secretary promised to leverage his connections to attract investments that will generate employment, particularly for the youth. His plan includes promoting small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and encouraging entrepreneurship.

Additionally, Danladi is committed to raising the living standards of Karu residents. This commitment includes developing social welfare programs targeting vulnerable populations and introducing policies aimed at improving education and overall well-being.

With a rich background in public administration and law, Danladi believes his experience and global networks will enable him to deliver on his promises. He expressed confidence in his ability to bring about meaningful change and urged the people of Karu to support his candidacy.
