Absence of federal secretariat in Abia worries Ikpeazu

Gov Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State has been worried by the absence in the state.
This is as the governor or described Abia as the most peaceful states, devoid of youths restiveness.

Gov. Ikpeazu disclosed this when Mr.Henry Ogbulogo, a commissioner representing Abia State at the Federal Character Commission, who was on a working visit in the state , paid him a working visit.

He enjoined the commissioner to enlist in the call for a federal secretariat in the state, adding that the absence of a federal secretariat in the state indicates lake of federal absence.

The governor is also worried that despite that the state is an oil producing state,none of the oil companies operating in the state resides in Abia but prefer to operate from outside the state where they pay their taxes.

In his response, Mr. Ogbulogo appealed to the governor to provide the necessary footing for the commission to enable it to perform its duties in the state.
