A former Senator of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Sen. Philip Tanimu Aduda has hailed the FCT Minister, Barr. Nyesom Wike, for appointing Mrs. Grace Adayilo, an indigene of the FCT as the first female Acting FCT Head of Service.

Sen. Aduda gave this commendation at the wedding ceremony of the daughter of Mrs. Adayilo, Joy Murna Obadiah to Victor Haruna in Abuja.

Aduda said that Wike is a trail blazer who has given the natives of Territory, the opportunity to participate in the scheme of affairs, adding that it has gone a long way to heal the wounds of the indegenes.

He also described Adayilo as a refined bureaucrat, loyal and dedicated public servant with the required capacity and experience to drive the public service reforms being carried out by the Minister in line with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ‘Renewed Hope Agenda.

Sen. Aduda, who was the father of the day at the ceremony, advised the new couple against bringing in third parties in their marriage.

He counselled the couple to always seek God’s face during moments of challenges.

Also speaking at the ceremony, the Mandate Secretary of FCT Area Council Services Secretariat, Bitrus Lawrence Garki, advised the couple to love and cherish each other as well as guard against unhealthy habits that affect marriage institutions.

He reminded the couple that the marriage institution was established by God for sustainability and should be respected.

Similarly, the Chairman of the Bwari Area Council, John Gabaya, urged the couple to keep the devil off their union.

Speaking on behalf of the Permanent Secretaries, the Permanent Secretary of FCT Transportation Secretariat, Mrs. Florence Okwonkwo, advised the new couple to make God the Alpha and Omega of their marriage.
She emphasized the need for parents to also admonish their female and male children.

Meanwhile, the Head of the FCT Civil Service, who is the Mother of the bride, Mrs. Grace Adayilo, affirmed that indeed she was fulfilled, seeing her daughter walking down the aisle.
