The Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Jibril Ismail Falgore, has expressed his deep sorrow over the death of Ahmadu Haruna Zago, Managing Director of the Kano State Refuse Management and Sanitation Board (REMASAB), at the age of 74 years.
In a statement released by the spokesperson for the Rt Hon Speaker, Kamaluddeen Sani Shawai, on Friday, Falgore said: “It is with great dismay that we learned of the tragic death of the former Managing Director of REMASAB.
The loss of Dan Zago means losing an extremely competent public servant, a straightforward gentleman, a politician par excellence, and a business personality who contributed immensely to the development of Kano State over the past 40 years.”
Falgore further described Ahmadu Haruna Zago’s death as a great loss to the people of Kano and Nigeria at large. He stated,
“With heartfelt sympathy, on behalf of all Distinguished Honourable Members of the Kano State House of Assembly, I extend our condolences to the Executive Governor, His Excellency Engr Abba Kabir Yusuf, the family, and the good people of Kano, praying for Allah’s Jannatul Firdaus.”
