AIG Extends Christmas, New Year Message To Christian Brothers

The Assistant Inspector General of Police in Charge of Sokoto, Kebbi and Zamfara states, Bello Sani Dalijan has on behalf of Zone 10 Police Command Extends Christmas and new year message to the entire Christians in the country and the world in general.

The statement by Zone 10 Public Relations Ofiicer Bashar Adamu further said AIG urged Commissioners of Police (CPs) and Tactical Commanders in the Zone to beef-up security ahead of the Christmas/New year celebration, to prevent any untoward situation in their Areas of responsibility (AoR) throughout the Christmas season and beyond.

The AIG also urged and advised that supervisory Commissioners of Police in Sokoto,Kebbi and Zamfara States with their respective Area Commanders should ensure adequate deployment of officers and assets to prevent the occurrence of crimes and criminality, as well as build confidence amongst the citizens. The Police Boss charged officers and men of the Police to engage in critical assessment of threat prone areas, thorough stop and search, raids on black spots and other anti-crime strategies capable of sustaining peace and public safety in the Zone. The AIG further warned that personnel deployed must be professional and mindful of the fundamental human rights of the citizens, and discharge their responsibilities with all sense of decorum and alertness.

He further advised Politicians within the Zone to play according to the rules and ensure peaceful electioneering campaigns while also admonishing parents not to allow their children to be used as political thugs in the forthcoming elections .

He then assured the general public that The Nigeria Police Force, under the leadership of the Inspector General of Police Alkali Usman Baba put all security mechanisms in place to ensure peaceful conduct of the 2023 General Elections.

The AIG Zone 10 while congratulating the Christian Faithfuls in the Zone and the country in general on the occasion of the year 2022 Christmas celebration, enjoined them to celebrate and enjoy the beauty of the Christmas season while remaining security conscious.

He equally urged them to report all suspicious individuals, movements, or activities to the police for prompt intervention as he admonished them to cooperate with operatives of the Police and other sister security agencies deployed on duty at strategic places for the Christmas/New yeah celebrations across the zone

The AIG wishes all Christian faithfuls a happy and peaceable Christmas celebration.
