AltBank Champions Arts and Culture at KABAFEST

The Alternative Bank has reiterated its commitment to driving cultural and artistic advancement, as demonstrated at the recent Kaduna Book and Arts Festival (KABAFEST). Garba Mohammed, the bank’s executive director, conveyed a message of goodwill, emphasizing the institution’s dedication to nurturing the creative sector and empowering artistic endeavors nationwide.

“The Alternative Bank takes pride in its support for the Kaduna Book and Arts Festival, aligning with our broader mission of fostering creativity and innovation in Nigeria. Lola Shoneyin, the curator of KABAFEST, praised The Alternative Bank’s support for promoting cultural development in Kaduna State, transforming it into a vibrant hub of creativity.

Reflecting on the significance of literary festivals, Shoneyin emphasized the importance of dialogue and understanding in addressing societal issues and fostering tolerance and empathy.

Senator Uba Sani, the governor of Kaduna State, commended KABAFEST organizers for their five-year journey, which has positively impacted Kaduna State’s creative landscape.

The festival attendees enjoyed a diverse range of literary discussions, book chats, exhibitions, and performances, showcasing immense talent and cultural diversity in Kaduna state and northern Nigeria.
