ALU TV PARTNERS HUMAN RIGHTS SOKOTO

As part of the move to showcase the activities of the Department for Human Rights under Hon. Yahaya Sani Rarah, the Special Adviserr to sokoto State Governor, Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto, the Regional Television station based in Sokoto, ALU TV Nigeria has indicated willingness to collaborate with the Department toward promoting and publicizing the activities of the office.

This was coming when the special adviser and his entourage visited the television station in the state as part of their activities marking the 16th Days Activism in fighting against Sexual harassment and other violence against children under age.
The TV’s GM Bashar Abubakar while welcoming the SA Human Rights, assured him of the station’s readiness to Join hand towards achieving the set objectives.
The GM also explained that, the station is already promoting the programs and policies of the Ahmad Aliyu led administration in the state, therefore, it will team up and collaborate with office of the SA on Human Rights to enlighten the public on the activities of his office.
The special adviser while commenting, told the GM that they came to the TV station to seek for more support and collaboration toward publicizing their activities.
He thanked the GM for the support to the department even before now.
The Director General of the Department, Shehu Goronyo, reemphasized on the need to work in synagy to achieve the set mission.
He assured the GM that the department will sit together with the management of Alu TV to see the area of collaboration for the overall development of the state.
The visit had in attendance the chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association Sokoto State chapter, Barrister Rashidat Muhammad Esq,and other top officials of the department as well as those from Alu TV Nigeria.
