By Joyce Remi-Babayeju

Chairman of the Abuja Municipal Area Council, AMAC, Christopher Zakka Maikalangu has said that the Council will enter into partnership with the CAN Group of Companies to bring in the desired development into the Council.
Maikalangu made this known on Wednesday when he visited the CAN companies in Abuja.

Speaking during the visit, the AMAC Chairman commended the different initiatives and values which Creatify, Attachi and Nadel as well as the CAN Group have embarked on and developed.

Based on evidences, he said that there is need for AMAC to enter into mutual partnership with CAN Group of companies as the partnership will positively impact on the area council administration.

“From inception, CAN Group of companies, comprising the Creatify Digital Africa Ltd, Attachi Advocacy Initiative and Nadel Connected Development, has been known to have the vision and mission to invest and manage assets in portfolios that create alternative solutions, sociocultural advancement and all-inclusive development.”

Maikalangu said, “One of the key agenda of my administration is to ensure that rapid development is brought to the council. I am someone that will not sleep or rest until I see my people smile and development brought to all facets of the council. My visit here today is to exploit all areas of partnership for the mutual benefit of both AMAC and CAN Group of companies.

There is need for AMAC to move beyond politics. We have a clear vision/roadmap on how to do that. My coming to CAN Group of companies is for us to discuss and see how we can take the council forward. Hopefully, we’ll reach common grounds and collaborate for the betterment of the council, he said.

Chairman/CEO of CAN Group of companies, Mr Bitrus Lawrence Garki, thanked the AMAC Chairman for his visit and expressed willingness to partner with AMAC for the better of the council.

Garki noted that CAN Group of companies is poised to support AMAC in providing the needed leadership for grassroots development.
