Amaechi, Akpabio meet to resolve contrast

Two pioneers of the All Progressives Congress in the South-South locale, Chibuike Amaechi, and Godswill Akpabio met each other to resolve their apparent political contrasts, a gathering representative has said.

Mr Amaechi, who is the transport minister and previous Rivers senator, and Mr Akpabio, a previous Senate minority pioneer and Akwa Ibom representative, met on Sunday in Abuja, Festus Keyamo, representative for President Buhari’s 2019 decision battle said in a statement Monday.

Mr Keyamo said he and another gathering head, Nasiru Danu, facilitated the gathering, which was at the example of Mr Akpabio.

M Danu was one of the chiefs of coordinations for the Buhari battle board.

The gathering, which occurred at the home of Mr Danu in the Asokoro locale of Abuja, endured a few hours, amid which Messrs Amaechi and Akpabio honestly discussed their contradictions from their days as governors in PDP and in the Nigerian Governors’ Forum.

Mr Keyamo said at last, the two chiefs consented to “close ranks and work in unison for the overall interest of the party in the country.”
