Amaechi is Hungry For Power, Not Influential Politician – Wike

The FCT Minister Barr Nysome Wike has said that former Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi is just hungry for power, and not an Influential politician as some people view of him.

Wike said this on Monday at a Media Chat with journalists in Abuja while answering questions from journalists.
The minister stated that the former minister of Transport, Hon. Amaechi who has held public office as a Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly from 1999 to 2007, and governor from 2007 to 2015, for eight years, but he never talked about hunger.

“For eight years as speaker of the Rivers State Assembly, eight years as governor of Rivers State, Amaechi he never talked about hunger.”
He became a minister from 2015, to 2023, eight years, super minister transport, where he was borrowing money for Afroximbank, he didn’t talk about hunger.”
The minister lambasted Hon. Amaechi for joining a coalition party because in the past two years he has been out of office, and he is now hungry for power.
” Two years, you have left office, you are in coalition because I’m hungry. You’re only hungry of power.

The minister said that Amaechi’s desperate hunger for power is a sign of his failure on his own part and an insult on Nigerians.
Furthermore, Wike announced that he will lead the APC campaign President Bola Ahmed Tinubu 2027 reelection because he is an asset .
“I am an asset to Tinubu’s 2027 reelection”, Wike emphasized.
“Are not aware that I will lead the campaign in Rivers State? Of course, is that hidden because I have said the south must produce the president.

Wike lambasted Amaechi for not been able to secure 25% votes in 2015 election for Buhari as his as his DG campaign.

” He was unable to give his candidate, Muhammadu Buhari a common 25% as sitting minister in 2019.”

Meanwhile, the minister disclosed that he did not attend the PDP’s National Executive Council , NEC, Meeting because it is illegal.
“No, I don’t know about that, so I should attend an illegal metting, he asked.
