Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital suspends in-patient visitation

The Management of Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital (AKTH) has temporarily suspended solidarity visitations to patients on admission in the hospital.
In a statement signed by AKTH Deputy Director Information, Hajiya Hauwa Muhammed, the Chief Medical Director Prof. Abdurrahman Sheshe said that the the action was taken as a proactive measure to prevent and curb the spread of coronavirus in the hospital in case of any eventuality.
The management ordered that during the suspension period, only a relation at once would be allowed to stay within the hospital premises.
Similarly, the management advised that patients coming to the hospital for outpatient services, must desist from coming to the hospital with escorts, inorder to decongest the hospital as well as the service areas.
The management further appealed to the patients and clients to cooperate with the hospital and comply with the policies put in place for safety of all.
