Amnesty Programme Militant Block Entrance to NASS Demand Sack of Coordinator

Puts budget presentation at risk

Niger Delta militants under the Presidential Amnesty Ptogramme have blocked entrance to the National Assembly demanding the payment of their unpaid allowances.

The militants are also demanding for the sack of Brig.-Gen. Paul Boroh (retd), the Coordinator of the programme whom they accuse of short changing them, by his persistent refusal to pay their allowances irrespective of being captured in the programmme

The placard carrying protesters have blocked entrance to the National Assembly. This is creating security concerns as President Buhari is scheduled to present his 2019 budget proposal to the National Assembly today.
