Andishu Marks Birthday with N11m Empowerment for 150 Orphans, Widows in Cross River, Kaduna

By Achadu Gabriel, Kaduna

In a show of compassion and generosity, Nigerian-UK based philanthropist, Moses Ted Andishu, celebrated his birthday by empowering 150 orphans and widows with financial support worth N11 million.

Andishu, who is the CEO and founder of the Andishu Foundation, used the occasion of his birthday on September 14, 2025, to reach out to vulnerable groups in Nigeria.

A statement from the Foundation disclosed that 80 beneficiaries were drawn from Cross River State while 70 others were from Kaduna State. Each received financial empowerment packages aimed at supporting their livelihoods.

Speaking on the gesture, Andishu explained that his birthday had become more meaningful by dedicating it to the less privileged.

“On my birthday, I make sure to reach out to orphans, widows, and the less privileged. This year, 50 beneficiaries came from orphanages, 50 were widows, and 50 from other vulnerable groups. I intend to make this an annual programme,” he said.

He further revealed plans to introduce scholarships to support young people in advancing their education and skills. According to him, knowledge and education remain the foundation for a better future.

The Andishu Foundation, established to provide humanitarian support, has over the years focused on empowering vulnerable Nigerians through welfare initiatives, skills development, and community support programmes.
