Another COVID-19 patient discharged in Osun

Osun State Government on Saturday discharged another COVID-19 patient after testing negative twice for the virus.
The State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Rafiu Isamotu, made the disclosure.

When called for further clarification, Isamotu told The PUNCH that a release would be issued on the development.

But Isamotu was later quoted in a statement sent from the Ministry of Information and Civic Orientation as saying, “This afternoon, another COVID-19 patient was released from our Isolation centre, having fully recovered and tested negative twice for the virus, in compliance with the NCDC protocol.

“Let me on behalf of Mr. Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola, appeal to our people to continue to comply with the sit-at-home order and observe basic personal hygiene habits. Collectively, we shall eradicate Coronavirus in our dear State. Kudos to my colleagues in the health sector for their service to the State.”
