The All Progressives Congress has released its timetable for the 2027 general elections, scheduling its presidential primary for May 15 to 16, 2026.
According to the timetable signed by the party’s National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Argungu, the sale of nomination and expression of interest forms will run from April 25 to May 2 at the party’s national secretariat, while submission of completed forms closes on May 4.
The APC pegged the presidential form at ₦100 million, comprising ₦30 million for expression of interest and ₦70 million for nomination. Governorship aspirants are to pay ₦50 million, while forms for Senate, House of Representatives and State House of Assembly seats cost ₦20 million, ₦10 million and ₦6 million respectively.
Screening of aspirants is scheduled for May 6 to May 8, with results to be released on May 11. Appeals will hold from May 12 to May 13.
The timetable shows that House of Representatives primaries will take place on May 18, Senate on May 20, State House of Assembly on May 21, and governorship primaries on May 23. Appeals arising from the exercises are expected to conclude on May 25.
The party said all primaries will be conducted within eight days. It also granted concessions to female aspirants, youths and persons living with disabilities, who are required to purchase only the expression of interest forms and pay 50 per cent of the nomination fees.
The party stated that the schedule aligns with the Constitution, the Electoral Act and guidelines issued by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
