APC Schedules July 24 NEC Meeting to Elect New National Chairman

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has set July 24, 2025, for its National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting, where a new national chairman will be elected.

The decision was reached during the NWC’s meeting on Monday, following the resignation of former chairman Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje. At the session, Ali Dalori, the party’s deputy national chairman (North), officially assumed the role of acting national chairman.

Speaking to journalists at the APC national secretariat in Abuja after the meeting, Deputy National Secretary Festus Fuanter confirmed that the NEC meeting would focus on selecting a new leader for the party.

Fuanter also disclosed that the notice of the NEC meeting had already been sent to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
